In the earlier times men wore togas but as time changed so did there clothing and eventfully they started wearing tunics. There tunics consisted of two pieces of undyed linen sewn together at the sides and solders and belted so it covered the knees. To keep them warm during the winter months they would layer two to three tunics.
Men's clothing also formed a clear distinction from social class to social class. Wealthy men sported a hose jacket, often with pleating on there jacket, or sometimes they would wear a tunic with a surcoat. Rich men wore the dramatic, long-sleeved outfits. Knights clothing was a little bit different, it afforded both protection and comfort. Knights wore woolen stockings that covered there legs, a padded garment as a coat, and a surcoat as a robe. Senators wore a white toga with purple boots while Magistrate wore a white tunic with gold embroidery. Pheasant Men wore stockings, tunics or short woolen trousers, an overcoat, and a blouse of cloth fastened with a belt.
